"Southern New Hampshire University educates intellectually and culturally enriched individuals to be successful in their careers and contribute to their communities."

The Southern New Hampshire University is ranked in the top 20 schools with online bachelor's degree programs. That is one of the main reason SNHU is my second choice. The other reason is that they offer the program I want in Health Promotion.

SNHU is located in Manchester, New Hampshire which is a suburban town. It was established in 1932 and is a four year co-educational, non-profit private school. Southern New Hampshire University offers many student services. They have dining halls, wellness centers, tutoring, advising, counseling, and career service. SNHU is also extremely into engaged learning through the community. There are two aspects to this ideal: service learning and work study community service.

Southern New Hampshire will except up to 90 transfer credits. If I were to transfer there each course cost no more than $960. I would need an additional to complete 16 courses to receive a bachelor’s in Health Promotion to go with my already completed course work. This is significantly more expensive than Appalachian. My cost per semester would be $3840. I would definitely need to peruse all avenues of financial aid. Of course I would not live on campus since I will only be an online student.

The advantages to attending are Southern New Hampshire University are again I can stay with my family and friends, and their ideals and standards seem to line up with mine. SNHU also has  rolling enrollment so I can enroll at any time. However there are quite a few disadvantages. I would not be able to talk face to face with any advisors or take advantage of any student services on campus. SNHU’s graduation rate is on 47% for four years which is also worrisome.
