"Through individual and collaborative relationships with academic advisors, students are best able to define and implement sound educational plans that are consistent with their personal values, goals, and career plans."

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is the largest university in Louisiana and was established in 1898. They offer great student service like my other choice such as academic success, career services, counseling, testing center, disability services, health services, dining services, and student leadership. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette does not offer the exact major I am looking for but it does have bachelor’s program in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health Promotion & Wellness. Tuition is $359 per credit hour for out-of-state students. This would but my cost at $4308 each semester if I only take 12 credit hours.

Advantages are this is one of the great colleges in the United States. It offers a program that I can study through distance education which is very important to me. The disadvantages are it is very competitive and scholarships would be hard to come by to help cover my financial needs. Then since they major they offer does not line up with the one I have planned for several additional classes will be required. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is the most expensive out of all my choices and I would more than likely not be able to cover the cost. Also much like Southern New Hampshire University I would not be able to take advantage of the student services or attend events on campus.
